We are delighted to be partnering with our client, a well-established and progressive construction company based in North Vancouver, in their search for a dynamic and skilled Controller to join their team.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of an industry-leading construction company.

The Controller will be responsible for managing all financial activities of the company.

They will oversee all accounting operations, including the design and maintenance of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor and develop the accounting team.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Oversee all accounting operations
  • Coordinate and ensure the timely filing of tax returns.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure clean audits.
  • Work closely with the project managers and company executives to develop financial strategies.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration and professional certification (such as CMA, CGA, or CPA) is a strong asset. Or strong working experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a senior financial managerial position
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of accounting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decisionmaking skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and resultsorientation.
