The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is a regulatory agency that reports to the Ministry of the Attorney General. The AGCO is responsible for regulating the alcohol, gaming, horseracing, and private cannabis retail sectors in Ontario, in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest.

The Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD) Branch is seeking an Organizational Development (OD) Coordinator to join their inclusive and highly functional team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Organizational Development, the OD Coordinator is responsible for supporting the OD team members and administering organizational development programs and services, including learning and development policy and processes, producing training sessions, conducting corporate orientation and welcome events, producing reports and presentations, and administering the recognition programs, performance review programs and administration of the Learning Management System.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Respond to general inquiries concerning all learning and development matters.
  • Review learning, training, and continuing education requests from staff and managers, ensuring completion of information and process requests in accordance with policies.
  • Administer established OD Programs with clear parameters and instructions, such as the coaching program, job shadowing program, Take Your Kids to Work, etc.
  • Organize, coordinate, produce and/or facilitate corporate orientation, welcome events, tours and all other required training sessions.
  • Produce and design the AGCO Learn newsletter, presentations, training material and draft communications regarding learning and development opportunities for staff and management.
  • Manage the New Employee Survey, coordinates Pulse survey and Corporate Engagement survey, analyze and compile results into reports and presentations, and identify action items based on needs and gap analysis.
  • Collaborate with the OD team and business units to schedule training, track attendance, and generate certificates.
  • Maintain and update intranet and content in the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it remains current and accurate.
  • Provide guidance in the areas of the LMS and analytics including collaboration across multiple functions and partners.
  • Work in partnership with HR on HRIS (Dayforce) system access and pull reports and build performance reviews on HRIS.
  • Maintain training recordkeeping and ensure completion of mandatory (legislative and AGCO) training.
  • Process invoices requiring payment (create electronic records and submit to A/P) and maintain all HR electronic files.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Post-secondary education in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, Human Resources, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, is required.
  • Experience in facilitating group meetings and administering corporate-level programs.
  • Preferred experience in working in a unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Critical thinking, analytics, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in writing reports and drafting presentations.
  • Experience in development, design and delivery of training and development courses.
  • Knowledge of Training and Development trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated sound professional judgment, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills.
  • Superior organizational skills, with a proven ability to set priorities, manage multiple and conflicting deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for facilitating information gathering, advising individuals of decisions or actions, and formulating correspondence.
  • High level of discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Good knowledge of computers using software such as word processors, spreadsheets, presentation software and database management software, time & attendance.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Visio).
  • The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
