Sprott Shaw Language College offers a wide range of programs in Vancouver, Toronto and Victoria for English language learners from all over the world.
We strive to provide international students of all ages with valuable learning experiences in Canada.
This year, our SSLC Global Leaders Summer Camp is focused on topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations.
SSLC is seeking two extremely organized Office Administrators.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain prompt, professional and appropriate communication with all parties involved
- Ensure students' safety, security and wellbeing
- Maintain positive, enthusiastic and supportive environment for all camp participants
Personal Qualities:
- Excellent oral communication and patience with non native English speakers
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Strong organizational skills and excellent administrative skills
- Enthusiastic and improvement focused with ability to accept feedback
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to a multicultural setting
- Awareness of and adherence to personal and professional boundaries
Nice to have:
- Experience working with young international students in an ESL/ Language school setting
- Experience in working at a residential summer camp/summer camp in Canada with international students.
Interest in SDG
- Sustainable Development Goals as set out by the UN.
Qualifications:
- A valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C / AED is a bonus
- Ability to provide current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
Position 2: 230 pm pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday (non negotiable) and either Tuesday and Wednesday OR Thursday and Friday
Expected hours: 40 hours on campus including a one hour unpaid break
