As the Manager, National Pricing you will collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and lead complex pricing projects to deliver unique solutions to ensure the profitability of property and casualty (P&C) lines of business.

You will lead a team and be responsible for all people management activities and promote engagement by fostering a positive and respectful working environment.

Your team will specifically support Permissible Loss Ratio (PLR) analysis for all lines of business and financial planning work for Commercial and Farm lines.


How you will create impact:

  • Leading pricing initiatives by building and implementing project plans, developing various actuarial models and providing expertise on various databases, programming languages and modeling software to contribute to our Actuarial strategic objectives.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to analyze business needs, researching multiple data sources and identifying actuarial requirements to design innovative solutions for complex challenges.
  • Identifying and assessing the impacts of proposed solutions to build plans for successful implementation of changes, that consider the overall product roadmap, resource availability and dependencies with other initiatives.
  • Maintaining indepth knowledge of the company and products to assist in rate indications, PLR and financial planning work and effectively communicating results.
  • Coaching and developing your team, recruiting and selecting talent, managing and rewarding performance, and fostering an agile culture to deliver on strategic objectives.

To join our team:

  • You have five years of experience in an actuarial pricing role or in a related field.
  • You have a postsecondary degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or in a related discipline.
  • You have expert knowledge of actuarial pricing principles including concepts and theories.
  • You have working knowledge of tools used to develop actuarial models.
  • You are recognized for both your thoroughness and your communication skills (including outreach and influence abilities).
  • You have or are working towards the Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society ACAS or the Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation(s).
