Speech-Language Pathologist, Child Development Centre

Full-time, Term position from September 3, 2024 to March 27, 2026.

  • 37.5 hours weekly

This position is covered by the Public Service Alliance of Canada Collective

This is an excellent opportunity to join the professional team of the Child Development Centre in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon. The growing team provides quality early intervention services to children from birth to five years of age throughout the Yukon. You will work as part of a transdisciplinary team and will be one of seven speech-language pathologists responsible for assessment, consultation and intervention for children with a wide variety of needs. Travel to rural communities may be required. Relocation allowance of up to $2000 is available.

Nestled in iconic Yukon, Whitehorse is a spectacular city with room to spread out and enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, x-country and downhill skiing, mountain biking and a vast array of arts and cultural activities. Whitehorse offers English first-language, French-first language and French immersion schools.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and eligibility for membership in SAC
  • Experience or interest working in a cross-cultural setting
  • Experience working with young children with developmental needs and families
  • Experience with feeding, fluency, or Hanen programs is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
