Why is this role important :
The Assistant Product Developer will work directly with the Product Developer under the supervision of the Product Development Lead. They will assist with pre-production and production management. The key objective of this role is to data collection/integrity and supporting the creation of quality products and specifications. Working together to build passion, curiosity and inspiration while enabling speed to market.

What you'll do:

Support the product developer and assist with all essential administrative duties which include maintaining/updating spec sheets and product database Work closely with suppliers to collect all required paperwork associated with development of product Validate raw materials sheets to ensure brand and project targets are being met and provide clear and directive feedback to vendor to ensure project remains on track and address sidebar concerns Validate MPS, Formula, Allergen Checklist, IOC Template, COA and any nutritional documents with PD supervision Enter all required Data into SAP VPS/LPS Input the data for Scope Briefs based on PD input Support Product Development team on specific products/projects Assist product developer on review of products to make sure they meet brand standards through communication with the vendor, collecting samples and scheduling chef's help when necessary Assist Product Developer in ordering samples for landmark meetings, home evaluation, prep instructions validation and recipe development. Assist and attend (when relevant) all product review sessions based on PD requirements and calendar; facilitate follow up if required Organize samples and make sure that the PD's designated storage location for samples is kept neat and tidy Attend required meetings and/or sensory group, when required, and provide updates/ advice to all partners on development status Attend local plant trial whenever possible Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What you bring :

B.A Sc in Food Science /related Science field or Culinary Arts degree or associated field. Minimum of 1 years' work experience Proficiency on PCs and MS Office; Excel skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects to achieve productivity and business goals Enjoys diversity and a dynamic, creative work environment
