Complete component level design tasks while keeping supervisor regularly inform on progress and issues encountered. Ensure all designs are peer reviewed by te chnical lead or assigned mentor
Areas of focus:
Mechanical/structural design engineering of hull structure, doors, hatches and grilles and integration of applique armour systems to meet customer requirements and specifications ; or
Propulsion systems including power pack, engines, transmission, cooling, fuel , pneumatics, hydraulics, mission equipment ; or
Hull Stowage, Covers, Guards and Access Panels (CGAP), AFES, NBC, Windshield and Washing Systems, Seats, Workstations, and un ique interior mission equipment
Support test planning, execution, and reporting as assigned and under supervisio n of test lead
Provide status to supervisor on progress of tasks
Share insights and ideas for improvement with supervisor. Support impro vement initiatives as requested
Identify opportunities for self development. Rais e ideas to supervisor attention
Support quality and RCCA related activities as requested
Required Qualifications:
University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering discipline
3 to 5 years relevant engineering experience
Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to travel (5% Cdn ) and (5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space
Preferred Experience :
Designing in Unigraphics (UG)
Competent in analyzing Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to understand and review to GDLS-C drawing standards.
P. Eng. o r ability to obtain P. Eng designation
Proficient with GDLS-C processes and products
