Key Responsibilities:

  • Support HR Operations efficiently to drive a positive experience for new hires (onboarding), current employees and people leaving the organization (offboarding).
  • Manages processes and tasks to ensure that they are simplified, efficient, and wellcommunicated.
  • Update and facilitate weekly orientation for new hires and be the goto person for inquiries from new hires as they onboard
  • In collaboration with HR team members, supports Coop Student recruitment in Canada including communications with university coop programs, interview scheduling, offer proposals, preparing offers of employment, background checks, onboarding, student experience, and offboarding
  • Supports Human Resources related vendor relationships including background check vendor, job board organizations, diversity board organizations, and more
  • Prepares PR Requests, tracks spending and existing HR contracts (excluding Talent Acquisition) as requested
  • Supports HRIS Analyst in administering and monitoring SuccessFactors HRIS system
  • Maintains employee records to include electronic files and ensures that information is accurate and up to date
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing processes and/or implement new ones
  • Assist with corporate HR initiatives and projects as required
  • Provides backup to the other HR team members when needed

Education and Experience:

  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources or other relevant discipline
  • Three years of broad human resource experience, preference for experience in fastpaced, biotech or technology environment.
  • If you have US or other global experience it is a big plus.
  • Experience with relevant technology including SAP Success Factors or other similar large, auditable HRIS system, Applicant Tracking Systems, Microsoft Office, and ticketing software (Jira)
  • Experience processing a high volume of transactions using standard operating procedures and company guidelines for multiple types of HR transactions

  • Ability to exercise professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion when handling issues of a difficult sensitive, or confidential nature.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding departmental and personnel matters.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. High attention to detail.
