Position Overview:
The successful Bookkeeper will be based in our Courtney Office and report to the Business Manager. The position will lead payroll for over 70 employees at Onsite Engineering and working along side our accounting team and administrators. This position will include processing payroll, maintain general ledgers and financial statements, posting journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, fleet management and year end financial working papers. This position will be working with and assisting the team of administrators in other offices.
Major Job Functions:
- Processing Payroll & T4's with the software QuickBooks
- Employee Reimbursements, visa postings, accounts payable (includes coding review, approvals, and data entry.
- Accounts receivable processing and data entry
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
- Post journal entries.
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
- Reconcile accounts.
- Fleet Management
- GST & PST filing
- Year end financial working papers
- Maintain effective filing systems already in place.
- Work with and support the team of administrators in other offices.
- Flexibility, Organizational and Time Management Skills
- Excellent Attention to Detail, Work Accuracy/Numeracy.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills.
- Motivated and Dynamic Self-Starter.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Bookkeeping Certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Minimum three years of full cycle bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office software products such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
- PCP Certificate an asset.
- Valid BC driver's license.
- Experience with desktop software such as Quickbooks or BillQuick BQE CORE considered an asset.
