  • Assembly and dismantling of concrete formwork, scaffolding, walkways, barricades, trenching, laying concrete and asphalt
  • Perform manual work and operate equipment: jackhammers, rammers, mixers, forklifts, drills, and measuring equipment
  • Work with other crew members to complete projects or tasks in the field
  • Conduct activities in alignment with company health and safety policies, procedures, regulations and legislations, and stay uptodate on safety precautions and construction plans
  • Assist in carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, or drywall activities
  • Assist in the installation of doors, windows and cabinets
  • Perform other duties within the employee's capabilities as assigned
  • Work in all phases of the project, from demolition to finishing

Required Qualifications_**- Basic level of English with the ability to understand basic construction terminology

  • Work experience 12 to 24 months minimum
  • Experience in plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, drywall and construction is generally considered an asset
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards is desirable
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe weightlifting and handling procedures is an asset

It requires skills and competencies.

  • Represent the company and its coworkers with professionalism and pride
  • General knowledge of construction
  • Work in all phases, from demolition to finishing
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
  • Knowledge in carpentry, painting, plumbing and drywall is considered an asset
  • Experience installing doors, windows, cabinets and drywall is considered an asset

  • Ability to follow directions and ask when in doubt
  • It must be organized and able to keep the work area clean
  • Integrity, good judgment, strong work ethic, courtesy to other staff members, peers, boss, property owners and occupants
  • Willing to learn and have an "I can do it" attitude
  • Must be able to stand and stand 1012 hours/day
  • You should have your essential hand tools and belt
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds (22 kg approx)
  • Must be able to work outdoors in unregulated climates and temperatures
