Handyman/Pre-Delivery Inspector (PDI) /Warranty Technician

Capital Labour Group is Ontario's foremost leader in construction manpower.

We are seeking a talented, experienced Pre-Delivery Inspector (PDI) /Warranty Technician /Handyman for a busy high-rise construction site in Hamilton, Ontario.

This is a long term project and company has three other projects in the GHA.

Responsibilities:
As the Pre-Delivery Inspector (PDI) /Warranty Technician /Handyman you will be responsible for:

  • Dealing with patchwork deficiencies, such as drywall, hardwood floor repairs, trim work, tiling
  • Dealing with homeowners directly and addressing any concerns pertaining to construction deficiencies
  • Preparing units for movein
  • Maintaining a tidy job site
  • Arrive on site prepared for work with the tools necessary to complete required tasks
  • A minimum 3+ years construction experience
  • Carpentry, drywall experience
  • Experience as a handyman/service technician PDI experience a definite asset
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Experience in dealing with homeowners
  • Experience in dealing with patchwork deficiencies, such as drywall, hardwood floor repairs, trim work, tiling
  • Ability to work in and support a strong collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work independently and possess a resultoriented attitude
  • Knowledge of TARION warranty program an asset
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract
  • Own transportation
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment onsite with trades and coworkers
  • Postsecondary education in Construction Services or a trade an asset

Salary:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime
