Ce que vous ferez:

  • Diriger les fonctions de comptabilité, de comptes fournisseurs, de comptes clients et de paie de l'entreprise.
  • Superviser le processus d'établissement de rapports financiers et de conformité (mission d'examen).
  • Développer et mettre en œuvre des contrôles internes autour des processus financiers pour améliorer l'efficacité.
  • Superviser et soutenir le/la technicien(ne) comptable junior et l'administrateur(trice) de la paie.
  • Créer des rapports de gestion mettant en évidence les indicateurs clés pour soutenir les chefs de service.
  • Collaborer avec le/la directeur(trice) financier(ère) pour une gestion efficace de la planification financière et de la trésorerie.
  • Assister le/la directeur(trice) financier(ère) dans divers projets ponctuels (recherche, financement, opérations, etc.)

We are looking to amplify our impact and are currently looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee the day-to-today finances of the Company, develop financial policies and processes, and work closely with the leadership team on major initiatives.

You must have an exceptional attention to detail, an analytical thinker, and a desire to mentor newcomers as the finance department grows. Your key responsibilities are:

  • Lead the Bookkeeping, A/P, A/R & Payroll functions of the business
  • Oversee the financial reporting and compliance process (Review engagement)
  • Develop & implement internal controls around financial processes to improve efficiency
  • Oversee & support junior accounting tech and payroll administrator
  • Create management reports highlighting key metrics to support departmental leads
  • Collaborate with the CFO for effective FP&A & Treasury Management
  • Assist the CFO in various ad-hoc projects (Research, Funding, Operations, Etc.)

Requirements:

  • Montreal based candidates only (International Candidates will not be considered)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (Controllership, FP&A, Audit Firm)
  • Highly proficient in Excel

Other valued assets:

  • Professional accounting designation: CA, CMA, or CGA
  • Experience with accounting softwares such as Quickbooks, Xero, Etc.
  • Experience with payroll softwares such as Wagepoint, ADP, Etc.
