The team also manages the infrastructure lending program, which has supported more than $18 billion in local infrastructure development, and IO's Information Technology and Business Services, providing tools and systems to ensure secure, effective, and efficient operations.
Job Purpose:
What You Will Do:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Accounts Receivable team.
- Review and approve invoices to be sent to IO's project teams and ultimately to clients. Key focus will be driving increased effectiveness and efficiency with the billings process to shorten the current invoicing cycle. Collaborate with project teams and other internal stakeholders to address requests, issues, and queries related to invoicing.
- Monitor the status of collections and followup with internal stakeholders and clients on outstanding payments. Address issues related to collections and escalate unresolved collection issues to internal stakeholders and Finance management.
- On a monthly basis, report and analyze all types of receivables. This includes providing updates on the billing cycle, analyzing the movement of balances from monthtomonth, and determining reasons for outstanding collections/invoicing.
- Support annual internal/external audits, semiannual ministry reconciliations, and other adhoc activities.
Who We're Looking For:
- Significant experience in an Accounts Receivables or Accounting function.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Team leadership experience is required to develop and motivate a professional team.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices of financial record keeping and financial control.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting financial information, preparing and presenting statistical reports and summary to senior management.
- Consultation, relationship management, problem solving and negotiation skills are required in order to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (including a variety of Excel functions/formulas).
The salary range for this position is
$94,000 to $141,000 with a corresponding job level of M2.
