If you have strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills, this role is perfect for you. You'll be conducting various ultrasound procedures such as neonatal ultrasounds, specialized bowel ultrasounds, and pelvic ultrasounds under radiologist supervision.
Your compassionate and respectful patient interactions, along with your ability to work both independently and in a team, are crucial. Collaborating effectively with sonographers and radiologists is key in this teaching hospital environment.
As part of the team, you will help with urgent scans for the emergency room and contribute to ongoing research projects, driving the field of medical imaging forward.
The General and Obstetrical Ultrasound departments provide a dynamic setting for clinical practice and research. With a high volume of ultrasound exams, ranging from Emergency Department to outpatients and inpatients, you'll be a valuable member of the team.
In this role, you will:
- Perform obstetrical/gynecological, abdomen, vascular, small parts, and neonatal ultrasound procedures
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and medical imaging equipment
- Prepare reports documenting procedures and results
- Participate in educational and research programs
- Meet job requirements such as completing an accredited Ultrasound program, having relevant experience, and maintaining certifications
Experience in vascular, neurosonography, and fetal assessment is a plus. Critical thinking, multitasking, and effective teamwork are essential skills required.
