What does the job look like?
As a member of the Planning & Public Works Department, Engineering & Design unit, the Road Safety Lead utilizes considerable skills to support the Department in the planning and design of the County's transportation network.
This position is responsible for engineering design and safety-related assignments, and comments on various technical engineering submissions from a road safety perspective.
The Road Safety Lead will be required to interact in a professional and effective manner, both within the County and outside of the County, in person and in all forms of communication, in a customer-focused environment.
Engineering & Design encourages and supports the County's corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, leadership, accountability and flexibility/adaptability.
This Job is for you if...
- You have a three (3) year diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
- You are certified as a Road Safety Auditor
- You have 3 years of progressive experience in Municipal Engineering
- You have a valid Ontario driver's license and can obtain a clean driver's abstract
- You have strong organizational and problemsolving skills
- You have a strong attention to detail and are meticulous when creating documentation.
- You are easygoing and enjoy being part of a fun team.
