Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing and managing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Execute the month-end closing process, including accruals, amortization, and maintenance of schedules.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual financial audits or government audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Assist in the consolidation and reporting of all entities, maintaining the intercompany loan and transaction structure.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Primarily QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with SQL a strong asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in both English and French. Bilingualism a must.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Local to Montreal, QC or surrounding Area. This is a Hybrid role that will require some office presence.

Responsabilités:
  • Participer à l'examen et à la gestion des opérations quotidiennes du service comptable, y compris les procédures relatives aux comptes créditeurs et débiteurs.
  • Effectuer des rapprochements mensuels des comptes du bilan et résoudre rapidement tout écart.
  • Exécuter le processus de clôture du mois, y compris les régularisations, l'amortissement et la mise à jour des calendriers.
  • Préparer des états financiers mensuels, trimestriels et annuels précis et en temps voulu.

Exigences:
