Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining and administrating computer workstations and network connections.
  • Contribute ideas to improve the IT Department's operations.
  • Ability to manage vendor contracts and purchasing for the IT group.
  • Resolving 150 Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support issues per month (Drive mapping, password resets, etc.).
  • Follow standardized operating procedures as much as possible
  • Create new procedures when required.
  • Administrating IT purchases and managing contacts with vendors.
  • General assistance to any task that may involve the IT Department.
  • Implementing and managing Office 365 environment changes as well as Active Directory including Group policy.
  • Participate in daily huddles to help ensure the daily success of the Command Center team.
  • Pass 2 certification exams per year.
  • Participates in oncall weekend rotation with other IT Staff.
  • Fulfill onsite requests to ONNI remote sites and buildings.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Ability to learn quickly, self-start, and work in a high paced environment with little supervision
  • Enthusiastic personality with great communication skills
  • Strong general knowledge of networking, IT systems, security, servers, firewalls, and all things Microsoft
  • Diploma or bachelor's degrees in a relevant area of study (Networking, Systems Administration, etc.) from accredited institutions an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT Helpdesk position, customer service or computer related role
  • Microsoft certifications are an asset
  • A combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check
  • Proven ability to work rapidly in high pressure situations
  • Exceptional demonstrated verbal and written communication ability
  • Excellent Customer Service skills comfortable dealing with a wide array of people and difficult situations
  • Proven ability to multitask and stay organized in a fastpaced environment
  • Passion for technology demonstrated by a desire to obtain new technical certifications
  • Strong demonstrated problemsolving ability
  • Technically minded with a strong passion for technology
  • People person comfortable with dealing with a wide array of people in difficult situations
  • Thrives in a team atmosphere
  • Selfstarter able to work with mínimal supervision
  • Must have a flexible schedule that may include weekend and on call
  • Ability to travel is required to ONNI remote sites and buildings
