This role involves full-cycle accounting responsibilities, inventory and contract management support, and preparation of regulatory and financial reporting.If you have strong attention to detail, experience in commodity or product-based accounting, and enjoy working in a dynamic industry, we encourage you to apply.Pay rate: $70k/year.Location: Regina, SKJob type: Permanent | Full-timeWhat's in it for you?Be part of a Saskatchewan-based organization supporting Canada's agricultural backbone.Work in a collaborative, respectful environment with opportunities for professional growth.Engage directly with industry professionals across trading, operations, and logistics.Full time permanent job, competitive compensation package, including benefits and potential for advancement.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, or a related field.CPA designation or currently enrolled in the CPA program is an asset.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in agriculture, commodities, or the grain industry.Strong understanding of cost and inventory accounting, commodity settlement processes, and tax compliance.Proficient with accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and grain management software (e.g., ProSoft).High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Key Responsibilities:Manage and report all financial transactions related to grain procurement, storage, processing, and sales.Manage Canadian Grain Commission monthly report.Maintain accurate records of grain purchases, sales, inventory, and settlements with producers and customers.Reconcile inventory movements and positions in accounting and grain management software.Prepare and process invoices, accounts payable/receivable, and settlements for grain deliveries.Monitor contract fulfillment, pricing, and payment terms for producers and buyers.Support monthly and year-end financial closings, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis related to grain operations.Prepare reports for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies (e.g., Canadian Grain Commission).Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant agricultural regulations.Liaise with operations, logistics, and trading teams to resolve discrepancies and support business processes.Participate in inventory audits and physical counts four times per year.Monthly, quarterly, yearly filling with government agencies (Federal and Local Provinces)GST, PST, WCB, CGCLevy reportsAnnual returnT2 Tax returnPreparation of Financial ReportsMonthly financial reportMonthly sales reportIndividual contract reportCash flow statementAnnually balance sheetAnnually Income Statement (Profit and Loss)Apply now Our dynamic team of recruiters will reach out if you qualify for this role.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.@@jCATPERM
