Our client, a leading General Contractor is looking for a Project Director to join their team in Calgary or Edmonton. This position will report into the Operational Manager and join an established team with potential for growth. As the Project Director, you will guide the team in the structure and delivery of project bids, budgeting, and other pre-construction services. Once the project has been awarded, you will be repsonsible for managing the client relationship.

Responsibilities
â¾Lead, coach and mentor all internal project team members to achieve the project deliverables
â¾Determine all resources required to complete assigned projects in accordance with the project commitments
â¾Provide preconstruction leadership to the project team, challenging them to deliver value-based design
â¾Align Project Execution Plan with core ideology, by providing oversight on the project goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, budgets, staffing requirements, responsibility matrix, work breakdown structure, milestones and deliverables
â¾Support a safety culture that aligns with corporate strategies and core values

Qualifications
â¾Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent construction experience
â¾LEED understanding
â¾10 or more years of experience in commercial construction
â¾10 or more years of direct work experience in construction project management or construction supervision
â¾Demonstrated success in multiple project delivery methods
â¾Highly effective negotiation, diplomacy and conflict-resolution skills
