THE ROLE:
The Firmware Engineer will have the opportunity to work with Hardware development teams, GPU architects, test teams. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Graphics RLC code on the most advanced Graphics processors in the world
THE PERSON:
Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication, collaboration, and skills, as well as experience in the development, implementation and debug of basic IO firmware Teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential to the role as you will be collaborating with multiple domain owners and developers. This individual should possess a high level of integrity, be motivated, capable of effectively working with global teams and Customers. Ability to take the long view for improvements to code and process efficiencies and discuss architectural items.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES:
Design, develop, and debug Graphics BIOS FW for graphics processors in accordance with HW feature specifications and requirementsContribute to the development of internal tools to improve development efficiency and qualityAccountable for on time delivery of workCollaborate with management and off-site teams to co-develop the complete product solutionRegular communication via Audio/Video conference with global teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with firmware or system software development. Strong understanding of Graphics processor architectureHands on knowledge of Assembly and standard C languageFrame buffer experiencePCIExpress bus protocol experiencePast experience in FW development environmentFamiliarity with Source Code management tools such as PerforceSolid understanding in PC architecture, x86 processors, chipsets, DRAM architecture, PCI, PCI-X, PCI Express, ACPI, multiprocessor systems, power management and system managementExpertise in Assembly programming and debugging tools is a mustExperience with I2C, VESA, and power management is requiredExcellent and proven machine language, low level code and C/C++ programming skillsACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelors required. A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred#LI-BM1
