Zebra's Program Managers are responsible for the successful launch of Zebra's products and solutions by indirectly leading cross-functional teams to achieve Zebra's goals. As a Program Manager, you will collect, interpret, and deliver feedback and status, hold the core team accountable for deliverables, and delegate assignments while staying on schedule and budget.

This position will work in the Machine Vision Business Unit, where you will play a critical role in leading and managing complex hardware development programs from initiation to delivery. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of hardware development processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle of hardware development programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. May lead multiple limited to moderate scope projects simultaneously or manage a large program directly
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware programs
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to achieve program milestones and deliverables.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Present program updates to executive leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Uses established tools, approaches / methodologies, and templates to guide and document the plan and communicate it to the team
  • Responsible for all aspects of program planning and execution with limited management oversight needed
  • Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring program completion, i.e., product on schedule and within budget constraints. Owns regular meeting coordination, facilitation, and documentation of progress
  • Demonstrates the ability to see cross-functional impacts of decisions, project plans, and execution. Balances scope, schedule, and budget considerations to adjust the project w/minimal impact to the business with limited manager oversight. Understands the program's business objectives and assumes personal accountability for program success against the objectives
  • Engages additional resources as needed to address obstacles/delays with limited manager oversight. Adjusts the plan per management guidelines as delays/obstacles are experienced. Escalates more complex issues to management for assistance
  • Establishes & manages timelines and budgets autonomously
  • Demonstrates baseline proficiency in all PM techniques. Utilizes PM tools & techniques in scheduling & staffing plans with an understanding of task duration and dependencies. Develops comprehensive risk management plans
  • Demonstrates proficiency with all development processes and product launch scope and activities


Responsabilités

  • Démontre la capacité de voir les impacts interfonctionnels des décisions, des plans de projet et de l'exécution. Équilibre la portée, le calendrier et les considérations budgétaires pour ajuster le projet avec un impact minimal sur l'entreprise avec une supervision limitée du gestionnaire. Comprend les objectifs opérationnels du programme et assume la responsabilité personnelle de la réussite du programme par rapport aux objectifs
  • Mobiliser des ressources supplémentaires au besoin pour surmonter les obstacles et les retards avec une surveillance limitée des gestionnaires. Ajuste le plan conformément aux lignes directrices de gestion au fur et à mesure que des retards ou des obstacles sont rencontrés.   • Établir et gérer les échéanciers et les budgets de façon autonome

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, MS preferred
  • 2+ years experience
  • Must be bilingual in both English and French
Preferred:
  • Ability to present, communicate, and facilitate effectively to peers, team members, and senior managers
  • Experience with MS Office or similar; power user in MS-Project and MS-Excel
  • Comfortable and experienced in delegating and requesting follow-up
  • Deep understanding of hardware development processes
