Apprentice Machinist: Your Journey Begins Here Do you have a passion for trades? A knack for working with your hands? If you're eager to learn and grow, with or without experience, this could be your path to becoming a Licenced 429A General Machinist.

Key Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting blueprints.
Setting up and operating machines for repetitive machining.
Verifying machined parts dimensions using precision instruments.
Performing equipment maintenance.
Entering codes for CNC machine tools.
Handling weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Assisting in operations like Turning, Milling, Boring, and Broaching.

Qualifications:

General Machinist (429A) Apprenticeship Program: A structured 4-year journey that includes:
7,280 hours of hands-on, on-the-job training.
720 hours of employer-facilitated in-school training.
Minimum Grade 12 high school education or equivalent.
Manufacturing experience is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
Strong mathematical skills, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Unyielding winning attitude.

Essential Requirements:

Shift Work: Must be open to Day, Afternoon, and Midnight shifts, including overtime (excluding weekends/holidays). Shift premiums apply. Reliable transportation is necessary.
Candidates should clear a Criminal Records name check and a Controlled Goods Clearance.
