Cambridge, Canada MealSuite Full time

Our suite of end-to-end foodservice technology solutions helps professionals across healthcare and aging services streamline their operations, save time, reduce food waste, and meet regulatory requirements, so they can focus on what matters most: improving the quality of patient and resident care.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about building products that solve important problems and delight customers. You will enter a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, design, build, and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.

As a Product Manager, you will lead the research and documentation of use cases, business requirements, workflows, and user personas for new product features, build and maintain a prioritized feature roadmap, define epics and user stories to drive product development, provide support to the Engineering, Customer Experience, and Revenue teams, and lead demonstrations and reviews for internal and external stakeholders.

As a key member of our product team, you will develop subject matter expertise spanning our entire suite of solutions from food service supply chain, dynamic resident data management, and culinary operations with point of sale. This knowledge will provide a foundation to support your creative work as you design systems and user experiences that simplify workflows, improve communications, and optimize operations for our growing customer base. You will regularly lead planning and review sessions with developers, designers, and a wide range of internal stakeholders, and interact directly with our partners and customers.

A day in the life as a Product Manager:

  • Become an expert on the MealSuite and MealSuite Touch products, our customers, their operations, and their industry
  • Develop a deep understanding of user perspectives, assess emerging technologies, analyze market competition, and stay current on industry trends to drive innovation and maximize customer satisfaction across the continuum of care
  • Translate product strategy into detailed, actionable requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Engineering, Customer Experience, Onboarding, Sales, Executive Leadership) to understand and document the impact new features will have on the business and our customers
  • Partners with Design and Engineering to drive the entire product lifecycle through conception, user research, design, prototyping, development, launch, feedback gathering and iteration planning
  • Own the feature roadmap with a portfolio of clearly articulated use cases and acceptance criteria that can be easily understood by cross-functional teams and broken down into requirements
  • Communicate the users' perspectives among customers, partners, internal stakeholders, software engineers, and user experience designers
  • Dive into new, unfamiliar fields and quickly absorb the fundamentals to drive brainstorming and gather insights
  • Represent the company credibly and professionally in all customers interactions

If the below describe your knowledge, experience and character, this role could be for you:

  • I have strong leadership skills and a customer-first approach to product development
  • I gained my knowledge through 5+ years of direct experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role, with direct experience in one or more of the following knowledge areas:
    • Institutional dietary and food service operations
    • Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) systems and/or EHR-integrated systems
    • Menu management systems for healthcare clients
    • Accounting systems and/or supply chains related to the foodservice industry
    • Inventory management systems and analysis methodologies, with an understanding of profitable procurement practices spanning labor cost, raw food cost, GPOs, rebate programs, and volume purchasing
    • Point of Sale (POS) systems and related application integrations such as online ordering, kitchen management systems, digital payments, mobile apps, bookkeeping platforms, and reporting
      • Experience with LTC, Acute, or other Healthcare industry operations is an advantage
      • Formal education and/or experience in Nutrition Science and Dietetics or software used in this knowledge area is also an advantage
  • I have a proven ability to learn new software quickly
  • I have a demonstrated ability to understand complex operational scenarios and translate user requirements into detailed, clearly articulated specifications that software engineers can interpret
  • I have experience working in Agile teams and thorough understanding of key methods and practices
  • I possess experience working with user experience designers to create solutions that simplify processes via efficient and intuitive user interfaces
  • I am able to work under tight deadlines and produce quality work
  • I have superior written and oral communication skills
  • I'm willing to occasionally travel to customer sites and conferences, and have a valid passport and no travel restrictions that limit my ability to cross the border between Canada and the USA (10% travel or less expected)
  • I thrive in an agile environment that is constantly changing and encourages team members to collectively collaborate and communicate
  • I love to be directly involved in projects and initiatives that offer continued learning and endless opportunity to express my ideas and build my leadership skills
