Position Details: Acuren Wind Canada Inc. is recruiting for experienced SGRE Certified Wind Blade Technicians to support projects throughout Canada Position Type: Full-time Rotation: 6 weeks on / 1 week off Start Date: As soon as possible and for 2026 season Location & Travel: Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) provided to various sites across Canada; 100% travel required. Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Siemens Gamesa wind turbines. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems within SGRE turbines. Inspect and ensure repairs on wind turbine blades are completed to company standards. Follow SGRE-specific safety procedures and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) protocols. Utilize SGRE diagnostic tools, software, and documentation to carry out repairs. Work as a member of the team with a safety-first approach and document repair and inspection findings. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Work at heights of more than 300 feet via rope access or suspended platform, in confined spaces and for extended periods of time in remote locations in variable climates and environments. Requirements SGRE certification (Blade B, C, or D level of certification). GWO certifications (Blade Repair, BST, BTT, ART, etc.). Rope access (IRATA) or blade repair certifications (an asset). Minimum 1–2 years of experience in wind turbine service or equivalent industrial maintenance. Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Comfortable working at heights up to 100m and in confined spaces. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract; ability to travel extensively. Safety Certifications in First Aid CPR/AED Level C (prerequisite), Fall Protection/Working at Heights, Confined Space, and CSTS2020 are considered assets. Physically demanding role requiring climbing, heavy lifting, and manual dexterity. Typically works in teams of 2–4 technicians per turbine.
