New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a GRC Technical Consultant (IBM OpenPages & Cognos Analytics Upgrade) to support a short term engagement focused on upgrading IBM OpenPages and Cognos Analytics. This role requires both strategic architecture expertise and hands-on technical delivery, with the ideal consultant able to plan, design, and execute the upgrade process, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and minimal business disruption. You will serve as the technical lead for the upgrade effort, working closely with the risk management, IT, and compliance teams to ensure that the upgraded GRC environment meets functional, security, and performance requirements. Responsibilities: Lead the upgrade of IBM OpenPages to the target supported version, including all required application, configuration, and database components. Plan and execute the upgrade of IBM Cognos Analytics from version 11.2.4 to 12.0.4, ensuring reporting integrations, data models, and security configurations remain aligned post-upgrade. Conduct pre-upgrade assessments, including compatibility, backup, and migration readiness checks. Oversee data migration and integrity validation, coordinating with DBAs and business owners. Optimize performance and resolve post-upgrade issues, including troubleshooting configuration, integration, and reporting challenges. Document technical processes, architecture diagrams, and rollback procedures. Collaborate with GRC and IT stakeholders to ensure the solution supports broader risk, compliance, and reporting needs. Requirements: Hands-on experience upgrading and configuring IBM OpenPages (v8.x or later), including installation, patching, and migration tasks. Proven experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, including report migration, data source connections, and integration with OpenPages. Solid understanding of GRC architecture and frameworks (governance, risk, and compliance domains). Experience with middleware, APIs, and integration between enterprise systems. Experience implementing or maintaining risk and compliance solutions in enterprise environments.
