Bilingual Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist
As the Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the administration and maintenance of our Learning Management System as well as working cross functionally to build and author content and curriculum. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to support training and development initiatives across the organization. A strong background and passion for education, adult learning methodologies and facilitation will be required as the incumbent will be the main contributor to our new LMS training material, design and structure.
Acts as primary owner and subject matter expert of the Learning Management System (LMS).
Manages community areas within the LMS including functionality, appearance, tabs, and settings.
Responsible for the authoring and creation of training curriculum, job aids and lessons for our internal products, services and tools
Ability to translate business processes and how-to’s into manageable and digestible content
Will be required to develop training plans and facilitation work back schedules that are online, in person or self-directed
Serves on the internal Workday Advisory Board.
Identifies and communicates opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements.
Perform all phases of instructional design including needs analysis, research, design, developing, assessments, and evaluation methods and publish to various formats while considering Adult Learning Principles.
Maintains procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.
Creates and manages user structures including the creation of user groups. Manages online learning center, including: course enrolment, progress tracking, and course asset library, populates course information and assigns learners. Reviews and monitors system performance.
Publishes and archives online or blended learning solutions, assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes resources. Uploads training in PPT, PDF, .Creates and manages the overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications from the instructional designer.
Troubleshoots and resolves issues relating to system functionality and software systems.
Works with the instructional designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content.
Maintain and manage the LMS platform, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and user experience.
Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure training programs meet federal regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
ACADEMIC TRAINING
~ College Diploma in relevant discipline or combination of equivalent education and work experience required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
~ Minimum 5 years of related experience in the communications industry, with a strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry, and regulatory standards
~5-7 years of instructional design experience in sales/ technical and process driven environments
~2-3 years of experience designing and developing e-learning solutions and blended learning techniques
~2-3 years of call center experience is an asset
~ Knowledge of principles of adult learning; and instruction delivery to groups of diverse adults.
~ Knowledge of principles and procedures of human resources management operations.
~ Knowledge of telecom and wireless, operations, leadership, core values, and service an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is required
An excellent understanding of learning concepts and content creation
Ability to navigate working in a complex project atmosphere
Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of current technology as it applies to LMS software and systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects to meet implementation target dates
Ability to act as internal consultant by analyzing data and recommending solutions to utilize the LMS to deliver, track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives
Proven technical proficiency with LMS platforms (e.g., WorkDay, ozmo) and learning content authoring tools (e.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Analytical mindset for interpreting data and generating actionable insights.
