Our client, a designer/manufacturer and global integrator of welding and assembly systems and material handling systems, is in search of a Senior PLC Programmer to join their team.
Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date


Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with mechanical and controls engineering experts, as well as skilled trades professionals, throughout the programming, tryout, and installation phases of projects
PLC Programming and Debugging: Execute PLC logic and programming tasks during the build and debug stages at our facilities and at customer sites during installation and launch phases
Enhance Control Systems: Introduce programming enhancements to controls and logic systems based on customer changes or evolving manufacturing requirements
Configure and set up smart devices such as cameras, nut runners, and drives, integrating them into active projects
Data Management: Collect data from machines according to specific customer requirements
Thoroughly document all control logic changes in collaboration with the engineering team
End-User Training: Train PLC end-users at customer locations, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
Travel Support: Travel locally and internationally to customer sites to provide on-site assistance, ensuring successful project execution

Completed College or university program in Electrical
Experience: 5+ years of experience in designing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic automated equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Robotic Studies
Ability to adapt work hours to accommodate customer production timelines when necessary
Technical Skills: Proficiency with various software platforms, including Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron and familiarity with integrating smart devices into automated systems
