Senior System Testing/QA Specialist

Job Title: System Testing/QA Specialist– Public Sector Healthcare (Hybrid) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid-3 days onsite, 2 days home) Compensation: Competitive (depending on skills and experience) Contract Duration: 4 months to start, with potential for extension About the Role: Stafingo is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to support a key digital transformation initiative in the healthcare sector for a prominent public-sector client in Toronto. This role involves leading quality assurance activities for the implementation of a cutting-edge eForms solution, aimed at streamlining digital forms and integration with provincial health systems. Project Background: The project focuses on deploying an innovative eForms MVP, building a digital forms publication pipeline, and establishing a provincial library of electronic forms integrated with Electronic Health Records (EHR). The goal is to support the Ministry's objectives, enhance healthcare delivery, and improve digital workflows across primary care and other health sectors. Key Responsibilities: Review design documentation to ensure system integrity and quality standards Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with project milestones Collaborate with product owners and development teams to create detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios Lead functional, non-functional, integration, system, and acceptance testing, including automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines Perform manual testing for components outside the automation scope Manage defect tracking and resolution processes Prepare and present test reports, status dashboards, and metrics to stakeholders Identify testing risks and escalate critical issues promptly Drive continuous improvement in test automation processes, tools, and coverage Ensure smooth knowledge transfer and documentation for handover to operational teams Must-Have Qualifications: 8+ years of extensive QA experience with strong expertise in functional and non-functional testing for web-based applications Proven experience in automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, and Postman Deep understanding of QA methodologies, best practices, and defect management Hands-on experience in Agile environments, utilizing Azure DevOps (Azure Repos, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting Public sector or healthcare domain experience preferred Desired Skills & Technologies: Cloud testing experience in Azure and AWS environments Development skills in C#.NET, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java for script modification and troubleshooting Performance testing expertise, including benchmarking and capacity planning Web technologies: HTML, CSS, REST APIs Knowledge of accessibility standards (AODA, WCAG 2.0) and security best practices Healthcare integration standards such as HL7 FHIR (a plus) Relevant certifications (ISTQB, QAI, ITIL) are advantageous Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking under pressure Evaluation Criteria: 8+ years of QA experience with automation expertise Deep knowledge of QA methodologies and defect management Agile experience with Azure DevOps Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities Why Join Us?
