Stage North – Job Description: Supervisor / Floor Manager Overview Stage North is a luxury buffet and live-show concept. We seek an experienced Supervisor / Floor Manager to oversee front-of-house operations across all dining stations and coordinate with culinary and entertainment teams to deliver a flawless, premium guest experience from arrival to departure. This role suits a hospitality professional who thrives in a fine dining environment and is passionate about elevating service standards. Location: 2800 Highway 7, Vaughan, L4K 1W8. Employment type: Part time / Full time Reports to: Restaurant Manager, Director of Operations Works closely with: Culinary team, Entertainment/Stage Management, Beverage team, Event Sales Responsibilities Lead front-of-house operations for luxury buffet, fine dining table service for live-show experiences, ensuring seamless service from opening through show intervals and close Supervise and train servers, hosts, bartenders, banquet captains, and stage attendants; conduct pre-show briefings and ongoing training Manage guest flow and seating for shows Coordinate with the kitchen and stage teams to ensure timely, high-quality service at live stations and during performances; monitor display, temperature, and presentation Deliver exemplary guest experiences; anticipate needs, handle complaints gracefully, and document outcomes with follow-up actions Oversee POS operations, cash handling, and reconciliations; ensure accurate checks and post-show close procedures Maintain buffet presentation, cleanliness, and safety; enforce rigorous sanitation standards and pristine dining/show environments Manage front-of-house inventory ( china, glassware, linens, ) and coordinate with management as needed Monitor and adjust staffing levels; assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and labor cost control, with emphasis on show periods Enforce company policies, training programs, and service standards; lead by example with professional appearance and demeanor Ensure compliant alcohol service, age verification, and responsible beverage service; collaborate with premium beverage program Assist with private events, themed shows, or promotional evenings as needed Required Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related coursework a plus Experience: 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in luxury hospitality or events; proven experience with live entertainment or multi-station buffets Certifications: ServSafe Food Handler or equivalent; Smart Serve. Skills: Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching abilities Exceptional guest-service orientation and effective written/verbal communication Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Basic math and cash-handling accuracy; proficiency with POS systems (Toast) Familiarity with buffet safety and live-show operations Language: Fluent in English Physical/Work Environment: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift up to 30 lbs; comfortable in a dynamic, high-energy theatre-like setting; willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, or related field Experience with luxury buffet or high-end venues; familiarity with event management or show production environments Experience with seating management software (OpenTable), event scheduling tools, and Excel Track record of improving guest satisfaction and upselling premium beverages or experiences Skills & Competencies Leadership and people management Superior customer service and hospitality mindset Communication and interpersonal skills Conflict resolution and decision-making Organization, time management, and attention to detail Team motivation and coaching Adaptability and resilience in a premium, show-driven environment Financial awareness (labor costs, tip handling, basic POS reconciliation) Show coordination, guest relations, and staging etiquette Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Benefits: Discounted or free food On-site parking Work Location: In person
