KGS Group is seeking an Electrical Technologist to join our growing office in Vancouver, BC.

It’s a place where you can apply your abilities and contribute to challenging and meaningful projects across Canada, the U.As an Electrical Technologist at KGS Group your primary duties will be to prepare engineering models, drawings and documents, perform site inspections to gather data, and to assist electrical engineers with project specific tasks. You will produce models and drawings using primarily AutoCAD, and documents with Microsoft Office software. Prepare engineering models and drawings with AutoCAD.
Perform various design tasks for new and modified electrical systems.
Perform field inspections and measurements.
Summarize field observations and measurements in reports and/or integrate them into designs.
Assist in gathering technical information for reports, specifications and analysis.
Completion of a three-year electrical engineering technology diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Previous work experience with building electrical distribution, lighting systems, MV or HV applications, generators, transformers, switchgears, MCC’s, PLC automation, SCADA, or control systems.
Prior experience with 3D modeling or drafting software platforms.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
Possess knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
Ability to successfully work to meet tight deadlines while producing accurate and highly detailed drawings and technical documents.
Work efficiently and effectively with little supervision, as an individual and with a team.
Willingness to learn new software programs.
Be committed to a high quality of work.
Ability to travel to project sites on an as required basis for ½ day or 1 day site visits.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
