This position promises an invigorating challenge and ample opportunities for personal and professional advancement within our dynamic and fast-paced marine transportation company.Key Duties & Responsibilities: All responsibilities of an Intermediate Accountant.Assist with leading and managing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.Assist with information monthly, quarterly, and annual information filings.Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP (ASPE) and company policies.Perform variance analysis and financial modeling.Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.Minimum Qualification, Skills and Key Competencies Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.5+ years of accounting experience.Extensive experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.Strong leadership and management skills.CPA certification required.Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
