DGH,historically founded in 1924, provides medical care to residents of the surrounding areas including primary, inpatient, restorative, and ambulatory care as well as day surgery.Located in Digby, the 20-bed medical and alternate level of care (ALC) unit works closely with the collaborative emergency centre (CEC) in Annapolis Royal and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. DGH also has a 13-bed restorative care unit that supports patients through rehabilitation.

nutrition and diabetes counseling
speech therapy
Responsibilities
examine patients, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention

College of Family Physicians of Canada Emergency Medicine certification would be considered an asset
