In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to establish development plans, optimize completion designs, and ensure reservoir uncertainties and risks are understood and quantified for pool development purposes.
Provide in-depth Reservoir Analyses, as a part of the Asset Team, as it relates to:
Development Planning and Optimization with both Short (Budget) and Long Term (Strategic) views
Provide reservoir engineering technical support to the asset team to create, optimize and/or enhance the deliverability of oil and gas assets to deliver on the near term budget and long term corporate objectives. RTA analysis, including incorporation of EOS models/PVT to establish pad phase envelopes, flowing material balance, classic and fractional RTA methods, Bowie Methods
Numerical modelling/production well history matching
DFIT and flowback analysis and pad benchmarking and completion effectiveness assessment
Production forecasting; using decline analysis and numerical modelling methods
Interference testing and other pad level science design and evaluation
Implementation of Machine Learning models
Pad and field reservoir simulation: Integration of all RE analysis back into completion designs and field development
Choke/Flowback management strategy development and implementation
Compilation of asset development plans that achieve WCPs near term and long term strategic objectives
Work in tandem with the Reservoir Group and Asset Team to align tasks and prioritize
Monitor, evaluate and communicate relevant advanced technical studies and concepts to the Team
Ensure proper field testing requirements/evaluations are completed; includes coordination with operations group (includes, but not limited to, DFIT/BU analysis, FBA/PTA, Pressure surveys/Interference testing, PVT, chemical sampling, etc)
Identify data needs (Core, PVT, etc.) to enhance learnings and reduce development risk and coordinate collection.
Collaborate with exploitation engineers to review and steward reserve assignments for assigned fields
Validate technical justifications and strategies as they relate to the Reservoir Engineering role (i.e. static and dynamic reservoir parameters, theoretical vs booked recoveries, etc.)
Collaborate with Team to provide assessment for corporate OOIP/OGIP, Recovery Factors, and Inventory Locations
Provide Reservoir Engineering support for strategic acquisitions and divestment opportunities
10+ years of Reservoir Engineering Experience. Ideal candidate will have experience in Reservoir Engineering and Unconventional gas condensate plays

~ Excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex technical ideas to a diverse asset team
