About Position

The Event Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day account and event management for a portfolio of client events taking place throughout North America. Projects include large scale conferences, experiential activations, tradeshows, roadshows, special events, incentive programs, hospitality and executive engagement events, virtual events.

Client Management

· Build positive relationships with clients

· Support clients in developing new business opportunities

· Main point of contact for client

Event Project Management

· Lead and take part in brainstorming and preparing creative pitches to clients

· Lead project management through key program documents including Statement of Work, Project Plans, and Status reports

· Coordinate event execution with support of an account team

· Manage estimates/budgets from preparation to client approval with management guidance and final approval

· Follow client’s internal process with keen understanding of MDF funding, internal procurement and financial tools

· Provide strategic event guidance to client and account team through event management process, event design, supplier selection, and logistics coordination

· Liaise with TK Events departments: registration, production, design and technology as applicable to each project

· Provide event management logistics coordination for both live and virtual events: including program agenda, speaker management, exhibit showcase development, sponsorship programs, venue sourcing and management (F&B, floor plans, room assignments, signage, branding, on-site logistics), registration monitoring, hotel contract and room block milestones, offsite events, transportation, activations and décor, entertainment, sourcing and managing suppliers, attendee package and giveaways, staffing management and onsite management. Other logistics as required.

· Virtual event program management and logistics required for managing events in TK Events Virtual platform.

· Provide client briefs and speaker briefs as required

· Lead the development of post event debriefs

· Main point of contact for the client on event day & onsite support

· Other project duties as required and assigned

Desired Skills and Expertise

Core Competencies

· Experience in planning Corporate Events for enterprise accounts

· Experience working in the corporate and tech environment and understanding of corporate marketing departments

· Proven understanding of creative event design, online event registration, venue management and logistics, menu planning, exhibits and end to end event logistics

· Understanding of accounting principles and budget management processes

Qualifications:

· Post-secondary degree/diploma in Marketing and Event Management is preferred

· Minimum 5 years of agency and event experience

Requirements

· Access to vehicle required.

· Position is preferably based in the Toronto area

· Travel in and outside of Canada is required

· Consultant must have an updated passport and have received the most current mandatory vaccinations
