Company DescriptionA newly restructured, highly innovative Hortiscience Company with a variety of high quality, unique propositions in the agricultural, horticultural, home and garden market segments, seeking to grow distribution both in Canada and Internationally rapidly as we invest in additional manufacturing capacity, out of Alberta.The business requires a seasoned, well respected and successful Director of Sales and Marketing with North America and International client relations in the Organic Fertiliser and other Yield Enhancement and Soil Amendment business.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Sales and Marketing Director at WHI with a requirement for both HQ and remote work. The role will likely involve extensive travel in Canada, USA and at first whilst a distribution network is being developed, far further afield.The Company has plans to operate a multi-market, multi-use marketing strategy with verticals in many target markets, so whilst this is being managed, recruitment and training sales teams will be critical to success in this role.This will be a senior position of great importance to the business with board reporting on a regular basis.The Sales and Marketing Director will oversee the sales teams, manage the agent and distributor teams, develop sales strategies, manage key client relationships personally, and drive revenue growth across the business.QualificationsProven experience in sales management and personal sales skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to recruit, train, lead and motivate a sales team/sStrong strategic planning and organizational skillsKnowledge of the national and international Agricultural/Horticultural and/or Home and Garden marketsDemonstrable track record of product sales and strong sales growth of the sameAbility to travel as needed
