School Chef Qualifications and Required Skill and Credentials: Candidate must have Childcare experience or Experience preparing meals for Children Capable of handling food allergies and dietary restrictions. College Diploma in food preparation, Culinary Arts or related experience. Current food handlers Certificate Clear Criminal Reference Check-Vulnerable Sector Health Report from Family DR. Current First Aid CPR certification Be able to communicate well with staff and parents Prepare menu plans in advance and adhere to a seasonal 4 week rotation Responsibilities Preparing two snack and lunch for up to 70 children each day Accommodate dietary needs and allergy restrictions of the children at the center Work within budget constraints, plan and order groceries weekly. Oversee Garden (vegetable/herbs) Adhere to Public Health, City of BRAMPTON and Child and Early Years Act Requirement Ensure that all food prepared meets the philosophies of Alpha Child Care. We strive to feed our children food healthy whole meals at all times Lifting 40lbs and extended standing Benefits Health, Dental & Vision after 3 months of employment Paid sick days Wellness days Life Insurance. Job Type Fulltime Salary $20 - 25/hr.
