Field Health And Safety Coordinator

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator to join their team. This role involves working closely with site management teams to implement and maintain comprehensive safety programs, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and fostering a culture of workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with site managers to maintain safety management systems that align with WorkSafeBC and Certificate of Recognition standards.
- Conduct annual surveys, risk assessments, and site audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Monitor compliance with safety programs, respond to inspection reports, and oversee incident investigations.
- Provide training to workers and managers on occupational health and safety topics.
- Evaluate and enhance accident prevention programs and analyze safety data to identify trends.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on health and safety legislation, providing guidance and developing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Support safety committees and recommend resources, tools, and training to enhance safety culture.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of recent experience in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to travel between multiple worksites.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for commuting and work-related travel (mileage reimbursed).

- Ability to uphold policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
