Grandview Kids is now accepting applications for the position of:
Occupational Therapy Assistant / Physiotherapy Assistant –Contract Part-Time
Contract Part-Time (.74 per hour, depending upon experience
On Site/In Person
Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, and day to day supervision of the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist, the Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistant assists in direct client care through implementation of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy programs for clients in outpatient programs; assists in direct client care through implementation of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy programs for clients in Campbell Children’s School; maintains statistical data; ensures that the environment of the occupational therapy/physiotherapy treatment area meets client’s needs; supports departmental/Centre efforts in Continuous Quality Management (QM) activities; performs designated administrative duties; Graduate of an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Assistant program.
~Knowledge and experience in implementing principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis an asset
~ Knowledge of equipment, adaptive devices and standardized tests.
~ Ability to use audio/video recorders/augmentative communication devices.
~ Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable vehicle, or appropriate transportation.
This position is a member of the bargaining unit which is represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, and as such will be bound under the terms of the collective agreement.
