GreenFirst is looking for an HR Generalist to be accountable for contributing to the site’s Human Resources (HR) functions.

Responsibilities :

• Promote and support the Health & Safety programs to increase employee awareness

• Support compliance with collective agreement and sound union/management/employee relations

• Build and maintain a business relationship with stakeholders (managers, supervisory teams and employees), understand their needs and issues and play a key-role in the realization of their business objectives.

• Participate, in collaboration with stakeholders in the identification of training needs for both staff and unionized employees

• Manage scheduling (Training, Onboarding, Vacation Management)

• Provide consistent interpretation and counsel for the collective agreements application in alignment with business priorities and objectives

• Provide regular reviews of the workforce requirements to achieve operational goals and forecast job vacancies

• Actively participate in the recruiting process – Provide Labour Status Reports.

• Lead and participate in the onboarding program for new and seasonal employees

• Conduct exit interviews with employees who are leaving the Company

• Apply and ensure effective implementation of HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable legislation.

• Assist and support all return-to-work (RTW) initiatives

• Assist and support all STD/LTD Claims/Submissions

• Keep up-to-date with HR trends and regulation changes

• Collaborate and participate in special projects as assigned

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial relations

• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation - an asset

• 3+ years experience in an industrial unionized environment

• Business acumen, sound judgement, strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task

• Leadership, interpersonal and communications skills

• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and best practices

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Human Resources Information System (HRIS)

• Bilingual: English and French (spoken and written) – an asset.

• Promouvoir et soutenir les programmes de santé et de sécurité afin de sensibiliser les employés.

• Favoriser le respect de la convention collective et de bonnes relations entre le syndicat, la direction et les employés.

• Établir et maintenir une relation d'affaires avec les parties prenantes (gestionnaires, équipes de supervision et employés), comprendre leurs besoins et leurs problèmes et jouer un rôle clé dans la réalisation de leurs objectifs d'affaires.

• Participer, en collaboration avec les parties prenantes, à l'identification des besoins de formation pour le personnel et les employés syndiqués.

• Gérer les plannings (formation, intégration, gestion des congés)

• Fournir une interprétation cohérente et des conseils pour l'application des conventions collectives en accord avec les priorités et les objectifs de l'entreprise.

• Examiner régulièrement les besoins en main-d'œuvre pour atteindre les objectifs opérationnels et prévoir les postes vacants.

• Participer activement au processus de recrutement - Fournir des rapports sur l'état de la main-d'œuvre.

• Diriger le programme d'intégration des nouveaux employés et des employés saisonniers et y participer.

• Mener des entretiens de départ avec les employés qui quittent l'entreprise.

• Appliquer et assurer la mise en œuvre effective des politiques et procédures en matière de ressources humaines, conformément à la législation en vigueur.

• Assister et soutenir toutes les initiatives de retour au travail (RTW).

• Assister et soutenir toutes les demandes et soumissions de prestations d'invalidité de courte durée et de longue durée.

• Se tenir au courant des tendances en matière de ressources humaines et des changements de réglementation

• Collaborer et participer aux projets spéciaux qui lui sont confiés

Exigences :

• Baccalauréat en ressources humaines ou en relations industrielles

• Le titre de conseiller en ressources humaines agréé (CRHA) - un atout.

• Plus de 3 ans d'expérience dans un environnement industriel syndiqué

• Sens des affaires, jugement sûr, solides compétences analytiques et capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois.

• Compétences en matière de leadership, de relations interpersonnelles et de communication

• Connaissance des lois, des règlements et des meilleures pratiques en vigueur

• Maîtrise de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) et du système d'information sur les ressources humaines (SIRH)

• Bilinguisme : anglais et français (parlé et écrit) - un atout.
