Role Summary Colossus is seeking a Project Specialist – Field Execution & Delivery , a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in seeing complex installation projects through from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, collaborating with teams, solving problems in real time, and ensuring every project reflects the precision and professionalism Colossus is known for. You’ll be the central figure on-site and in construction meetings—the person clients, contractors, and colleagues rely on to keep things moving, aligned, and on track. With daily touchpoints at the office and a strong presence in the field, this role offers variety, autonomy, and the satisfaction of delivering high-impact work. Work hours are driven by what the project needs to succeed. Core Responsibilities 1. Project Execution & Oversight Define scope, deliverables, and success criteria for each project. Build and maintain detailed project schedules using ConnectWise , ensuring alignment with timelines and resources. Conduct frequent site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met. Track labor, materials, and overall project performance, reporting proactively to leadership. 2. Client & Partner Liaison Represent Colossus at all construction meetings, acting as the lead field contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Maintain strong relationships and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Resolve questions and concerns with professionalism and urgency. 3. Field Leadership & Support Ensure technicians have the direction, resources, and support needed to meet project goals. Step in hands-on when needed to support tight deadlines or troubleshoot technical issues. Encourage collaboration and accountability among all contributors. 4. Sales & Design Collaboration Support the sales team by translating customer requirements into clear technical inputs for accurate quoting and system design. Assist in reviewing tender documents and verifying technical aspects of proposals. Provide logistical and technical insights during sales presentations or meetings when needed. Identify opportunities for additional services or upgrades during live projects and communicate them to the sales team. 5. Scheduling & Financial Control Plan and schedule installations using company systems, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization. Maintain organized documentation for transparency and accountability. 6. Site Walks & Final Wrap-Ups Conduct multiple daily site visits to oversee installations and ensure alignment with plans. Prioritize final-stage refinements and ensure projects are closed out cleanly and professionally. 7. Process Improvement & Innovation Contribute to standardizing installation procedures and exploring prefabrication opportunities. Refine processes related to cabling, headend setup, device installation, and programming. Participate in developing international partner programs and support materials. 8. ULC Inspection Program Review and revise the existing ULC inspection program to ensure it aligns with current workflows and the strengths of this role. Ensure the annual mandatory inspection for each ULC-monitored site is completed with exceptional accuracy and consistency. Continuously update inspection practices to reflect changes in applicable codes and standards, maintaining full compliance across all monitored locations. 9. Occasional Technical Support While primarily focused on coordination, be ready to assist onsite when project demands require additional hands-on support. Work Rhythm Daily Site Visits: Begin most mornings on location, checking progress and supporting field teams. Daily Office Check-Ins: Stop by the office daily to align with the Install Manager, gather materials, and coordinate with admin staff. Administrative Tasks: Completed as part of the daily workflow. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in technical installations (security, fire, electrical), with proven project coordination capabilities. Strong proficiency in ConnectWise or similar project management platforms. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience in enterprise environments such as transportation, retail, aviation, or government is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites daily.
