CNC PROGRAMMER-Etobicoke, ON

Client is a custom millwork and manufacturing firm specializing in commercial projects that has been operating in the Toronto area for over 20 years. We are AWMAC and LEED Certified and produce millwork in over 1600 construction projects internationally, 1000 of which in the greater Toronto area alone. We create a variety of high-end custom millwork, casework, architectural woodwork, surface cladding and themed spaces for restaurants, hotels, casinos, entertainment facilities, condominiums, malls and many other public spaces.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Proficient in V-Carve programming software and possess strong skills within the millwork industry.
  • Translate technical designs into precise CNC machine instructions, ensuring high-quality production of custom woodwork and cabinetry.
  • Develop and program CNC machine tool paths using V-Carve software
  • Import and work with DXF files to create CNC programs for wood machining
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and production teams to ensure accurate execution of millwork designs?
  • Set up and adjust CNC machines for various projects, including cabinetry and custom wood pieces
  • Troubleshoot and optimize machine performance to ensure high-quality output
  • Maintain production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of CNC programming experience in the millwork industry
  • Proficient in V-Carve software for creating tool paths and CNC instructions
  • Ability to import and manipulate DXF files for CNC operations
  • Strong understanding of millwork processes, materials, and machinery
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of additional CNC programming software
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines
