Position: Materials Manager
Compensation: $110–120K base + 20% bonus | Benefits | Pension | Vacation
Our client, a respected automotive manufacturer in picturesque Collingwood, Ontario , is looking for a skilled Materials Manager to lead inventory control, production planning, and materials coordination.
This is a pivotal role — you’ll ensure that the right materials are in the right place at the right time to keep production running smoothly and customer deliveries on schedule. You’ll also play a key part in improving efficiency, managing costs, and supporting long-term growth.
Lead materials planning, inventory control, and production scheduling to achieve 100% on-time delivery
Use capacity planning and S&OP tools to align operations with customer demand
Manage packaging, freight, and storage costs within budget targets
Maintain accurate part, cost, and material data in SAP and related systems (PASS, COGNOS, NIAPS, FPACS)
Partner with customers to address supply issues and delivery commitments
Participate in RFQs and long-term production planning to support business growth
A university degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline
~7–10 years of materials management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
~ Experience working in a unionized facility is an asset
~ Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (SAP preferred)
