Area Maintenance Manager

Seeking an Area Maintenance Manager for overseeing maintenance and engineering activities at multi-sites in Canada and US Agilus is recruiting for a Area Maintenance Manager in the Manufacturing industry in Windsor, Ontario. The Area Manager Maintenance and Engineering is responsible for overseeing maintenance and engineering activities at 10 different sites in Canada and US . The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a manufacturing facility, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. A typical day: Direct maintenance managers ensuring effective PM systems are in place and effective repairs are being made to ensure the operation is adequately supported and provide direct guidance when dealing with large repairs and breakdowns Incorporate organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs in our manufacturing process Monitor production metrics and recommend process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency Ensure spare parts inventories are adequate and up to date at all sites Provide guidance and input on staffing levels and staffing structure of the various maintenance departments and budgeting of R&M activities Create, manage and maintain CAPEX budge. Host regular meetings with all maintenance managers to maintain communication and teamwork across all sites and visit all sites from time to time to follow up on initiatives, support major projects, etc. Lead project engineers and corporate controls team with new equipment purchases and major upgrades. Responsible for process from RFQ to buyoff Successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience 10 + years Experience with management of multi-trade divisional maintenance staff and outside contractors to achieve timely completion of tasks Ability to travel in the US and Canada What's in it for you: Full time, Permanent role Excellent total compensation and benefits package Career advancement opportunities
