About The Opportunity:

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will support financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of multi-family real estate investment funds. This role involves preparing financial reports, investor reporting, portfolio-level forecasting, and working closely with various internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate has experience in real estate reporting, a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reports for management, analyzing portfolio performance and key operational metrics.
  • Manage external reporting, including investor reports, property packages, and quarterly asset management updates.
  • Conduct portfolio forecasting, including fund performance, NAV calculations, distributions, and commission tracking.
  • Assist in preparing financial presentations and reporting packages for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and collaborate with stakeholders on quarterly re-forecasting.
  • Analyze quarterly results and prepare comprehensive reports for decision-making.
  • Perform market research and provide recommendations for pricing strategies, amenities, and submarket trends.
  • Analyze revenue and expenses, conduct variance analyses, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with M&A transactions, refinancings, and related due diligence activities.
  • Manage ad hoc projects and reporting requests from senior management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation with 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate, FP&A, or financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, NAV, IRR, ROIC, and related metrics.
  • Proficiency in Excel modeling and the ability to create professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • In-depth understanding of IFRS and financial disclosure requirements.
  • Experience with Yardi or other real estate ERP systems is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work within tight deadlines.
