Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in home care, The ideal candidate will have a passion for caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care, ensuring that all needs are met with dignity and respect. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Provide meal preparation and assistance with feeding as needed. Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Assist with personal care tasks for individuals with disabilities or dementia care needs. Document patient progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Qualifications Previous experience in home care, senior care, or assisted living environments is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and basic caregiving skills is essential. Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities and providing dementia care is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient assistance, including lifting and transferring clients safely. A caring attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care. Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided. A valid drivers license and car insurance.
