HR Manager – Manufacturing & Forestry Sector

We are partnering with a long-standing, well-established manufacturing organization with deep roots in BC’s forestry and wood products sector. This company is known for its strong values, multi-site operations, and commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and investing in its people. They are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead their Human Resources function and support a diverse workforce across operations, trades, and management.
The HR Manager will oversee all day-to-day HR activities, working closely with operations leadership to support a high-performance, safety-driven culture. This is an on-site position requiring a hands-on leader who is comfortable in a manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering directly with supervisors, employees, and senior leadership.

Lead full HR operations including employee relations, performance management, investigations, onboarding, and policy development.
Partner with operations leaders to support labour planning, training, retention, and workforce development.
Provide guidance on HR best practices and ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and safety standards.
Support recruitment needs across trades, production, maintenance, and leadership roles; Manage benefits, attendance, return-to-work programs, and accommodation processes.
Support change management initiatives, culture programs, and employee engagement activities across multiple facilities.
Develop and maintain HR metrics and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing coaching in conflict resolution, performance conversations, and leadership development.

5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in manufacturing, forestry, industrial, or unionized environments.
~ Experience supporting high-volume operations and working closely with frontline and site leadership.
~ Demonstrated experience handling investigations, employee relations issues, and performance management.
~ CPHR designation or progress toward one is an asset.
