Overview of role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our Digital Technology team. As a Senior QA / Test Automation Analyst on this team, you will oversee and participate in requirements analysis, test case development, execution of tests, defect management and other Software Testing Lifecycle related activities. A significant part of this role will be relationship building with both the delivery and business teams. A strong-willed but cooperative approach is a must for this role. Key deliverables include: Perform end-to-end manual testing of the data integration platform, covering various functional areas and business scenarios. Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers and developers, to understand requirements and define test objectives and strategies. Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate platform functionality and ensure adherence to business and technical requirements. Utilize various interfaces such as Sabre UI tools, API's and databases for test execution. Collaborate with other teams utilizing the same platform and share in reviewing respective testing approaches. Identify, log, and track defects and issues, and work closely with the development team to investigate and resolve them in a timely manner. Continuously assess and improve the manual testing process, methodologies, and techniques to optimize test coverage and effectiveness. Collaborate with the development team to gain an in-depth understanding of the platform architecture and data flow for effective testing. Analyze test results and provide comprehensive test reports to stakeholders, highlighting any risks, issues, or areas for improvement. Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned from testing activities. Proactively identify areas within the testing process that can be automated, including test data generation, repetitive test cases, and regression testing. Work closely with the test automation team to explore and implement automation solutions for identified test automation opportunities. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and techniques in software testing, particularly in test automation, and propose their adoption when appropriate. Experience and qualifications: 6+ years' experience as a Senior QA Analyst or in a similar role in the airline industry. Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in Agile development methodologies and working within Agile teams. Strong expertise in UI test automation frameworks and tools, such as Robot, Selenium, and Appium. Proficiency in API test automation frameworks and tools, such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI. Proficiency with writing database queries in SQL and working with Message Queues to perform validations. Solid understanding of software development methodologies, testing principles, and agile practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Solid understanding of airline domain and entities in and surrounding the airline industry.
