We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Human Resources Generalist to support our Canadian team and serve as the local HR point of contact in Calgary. This role is an excellent opportunity for a high performing HR Generalist who is ready for a new challenge and eager to take on increased ownership and senior level responsibilities.
The Senior Human Resources Generalist provides full scope HR support to our Calgary based employees while partnering closely with the HR Director in Houston. You will lead daily HR operations, strengthen processes and procedures, ensure compliance with Canadian labor standards, and help shape a positive and engaged workplace culture. This position is ideal for someone who has built a strong foundation as an HR Generalist and is ready to expand their impact through process improvement, recruiting leadership, autonomy, and strategic partnership.

Serve as the primary HR contact for the Calgary office, supporting employees and leaders across all departments.
Partner with the HR Director in Houston to align policies, processes, communication, and company wide initiatives.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance HR workflows, documentation, onboarding, and employee experience.
Ensure compliance with Alberta and federal Canadian employment legislation and maintain meticulous, accurate HR records.
Support and coach managers on employee relations, performance conversations, coaching, and day to day HR inquiries.
Develop and facilitate training programs including onboarding, compliance training, and professional development opportunities.
Refine, maintain, and implement HR policies and procedures for the Canadian office.
Support payroll accuracy by managing employee changes, audits, and communication with the Canadian payroll provider.
Oversee benefits administration including new hire enrollment, changes, renewals, and employee support.
Track employee records, leaves of absence, vacation balances, and time away with exceptional attention to detail.
Produce HR reporting including headcount, turnover trends, compliance training, and engagement metrics.
Lead or support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programming, and culture building activities.
Assist with annual audits, compliance reviews, and other HR projects as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Five or more years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a Canadian generalist role.
Strong knowledge of Alberta and federal Canadian employment standards.
Demonstrated experience in recruiting, process improvement, and building consistent HR workflows.
A strong foundation in HR Generalist duties with the readiness to step into a senior level scope and increased ownership.
experience with Rippling is an asset.
CHRP or CHRL designation (completed or in progress) is an asset.
