The incumbent participates in the preparation assembly and distribution of patient meal service following safe food handling practices. Prepares and portions food items as indicated on tallies, prep charts and nourishment labels. Stocks and replenishes food and supplies in designated areas. Cleans and sanitizes equipment, small wares and service areas. Participates in Quality Assurance Programs.
Previous experience in food service.

Valid Food Handlers Certificate required.

Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively, with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Exposure to chemical cleaning supplies.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
