Software Engineering Manager

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead and oversee multiple Scrum teams composed of engineers and quality assurance associates, ensuring the successful and efficient execution of engineering projects. This role is responsible for hiring, training, and managing engineering talent, as well as guiding teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner. The Senior Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with other management personnel, removing obstacles, fostering team growth, and supporting the professional development of team members.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of engineers in an agile environment, working closely with fintech product leaders to develop world-class digital solutions.Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to team members, supporting their technical and professional development by identifying and removing roadblocks.Guide the development of new product ideas, assessing feasibility, and executing software delivery with a focus on quality and performance.Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business development, dealer support, lender product teams, and third-party service organizations.Manage the technical aspects of the company’s online credit application and digital document services.Translate product vision into actionable technology solutions and implementation strategies, communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and team members.Stay closely involved with the engineering team to clarify business requirements, remove technical challenges, and assess project feasibility.Anticipate and manage technological advancements relevant to business solutions, driving innovation within the team.Promote and ensure the adoption of software engineering best practices across the teams.Set and enforce quality standards for software delivery, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and objectives.Manage team administrative functions, including recruitment, performance management, and other HR-related tasks.Required Skills:Expertise in Microsoft .NET platform development, including C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and related tools like Visual Studio.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban, and tools like JIRA and Confluence.Proficient with GitHub for source control management.Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Proven ability to manage and mentor engineering teams, providing technical leadership and support.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.Required Experience:Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.5-7 years of management experience within the software industry, with strong expertise in web design, functionality, usability, and web-based application architectures.Experience in the fintech industry, with knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and security controls on either the agency or lender side.Strong experience with Microsoft platform web development.Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure.
